About the painting

I’ve lived near the Bronx River for years, and I continue to be drawn in by the walking trails located along the river. The river is home to all sorts of trees and wildlife and serves as inspiration for much of my artwork.

One of my favorite spots is a waterfall located near the Scarsdale Metro-North station. The water that carries over this waterfall feeds into the East River.

It’s been meaningful to view the waterfall through the different seasons -- from winter chill to summer heat, and recognize the passage of time through the leaves, sunlight and shadows.
